Our Rich History
Established in the fall of 1956, St. Aloysius School offers classes for preschool and kindergarten through eighth grade. St. Aloysius is staffed by dedicated lay persons, in the tradition of the Daughters of Jesus who served this parish from 1957 through June 2002.

St. Aloysius School is a member of the National Catholic Education Association and is approved and accredited by the Louisiana State Department of Education. The curriculum taught is prescribed by the Office of Education of the Diocese of Baton Rouge.

St. Aloysius strives for academic excellence at all levels with continuous curriculum change and updating of teaching methods to meet the needs of our students now and for their futures.

Our Mission
The mission of St. Aloysius School is to educate the whole child in the Catholic tradition for a life of meaning and purpose.

Our Philosophy
The primary purpose of St. Aloysius School is to prepare our children for life in a contemporary society. We strive to help each child achieve his/her maximum potential in spiritual, intellectual, social, artistic, and physical development. To attain these goals, major emphasis is placed on the fact that each child is an individual with specific needs, interests, and abilities. In recognition of these individual differences, a wide range of learning experiences is provided to develop the positive aspects of each child’s character.
