COURSE OVERVIEW
Welcome to seventh grade Pre-Algebra! This course is designed to prepare students for the study of algebra. This course is designed to provide students with a solid background in those skills that will be crucial for success in algebra. We will begin our school year reviewing material previously covered in prior courses and then begin solving multi-step equations.
FIRST NINE-WEEKS TOPICS
Some of the topics that will be covered in the first nine-week period include:
  • Operations with integers
  • Order of operations
  • Evaluating variable and numerical expressions
  • The distributive property
  • Solving equations
HOMEWORK
Homework is extended practice on the skills and ideas presented in class. It is very important that these new skills be practiced outside the classroom. Not placing the proper emphasis on homework will interfere with your success in this class.

HELP BEFORE SCHOOL
Don't quite understand? Missing too many homework problems? Need to catch up because you were absent? Students may come for help before school on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 8 AM.
